Toddler Group

Our Parent & Toddler Groups provide sessions for local parents to attend with their pre-school babies, toddlers and children. The Group provides a stimulating environment in which local parents can come and play constructively with their children, where they can develop friendships with the Team members and with other parents, and where they can experience God’s love in action and appreciate something of our Church fellowship in a positive way. We provide toys, books and crafts as well as a story and singing time during each session. The Toddler Group team run several associated activities:-

Coffee Point

Once each half term Coffee Point will be held instead of the routine Toddler Group sessions.

It is one session for everybody, which is from 10.15-11.30 and there is a crèche facility. Details of this are in the **Time table required***

Parenting Skills

We continue to run the Parenting Skills Courses, mainly daytime courses for parents of 0-7 years, but also evening courses for parents of 5-12 yrs and teenagers. The material that we have been using is produced by an organisation called the Family Caring Trust; the material is widely used by mainstream churches, health visitors and social workers. All the people who come along to the courses really appreciate the content and the social interaction. In autumn 2006 we presented a new course produced by Care for the Family called How to Drugproof Your Kids – for parents of 9 yrs and older.

Christianity Explained

We also organise a course to explain basic Christian truths, called Christianity Explained. All of the organisers of the Group are Christians and are members of this or other local Christian churches.

Alpha Course

The Alpha Course consists of a series of talks addressing key issues relating to the Christian faith. Alpha Course Website

Unity

The Unity Group is for local Christian parents and those who have been through an explorers group. This is an ideal group for those people who have started a journey towards faith.
